APT Tournament Poker Fest Melbourne - Official Disclaimer

Event Approval & Legal Compliance Notice

The Hachem Management Group (HMG) is pleased to announce the Australian Poker Tour (APT) Tournament Poker Fest Melbourne, hosted at Oakwood Premier Melbourne (Southbank, VIC) from February 27th to March 8th, 2026.

Key Legal & Operational Disclosures

Preferred Third-Party Ticketing company

APT has engaged an independent ticketing agency (Dazzla Tickets) to manage tournament entries under standard industry terms. All fees collected are strictly for ticketing services and do not constitute administrative or management fees related to poker operations.

VGCCC Compliance

Poker tournaments are permitted to be conducted in Victoria in accordance with the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 and applicable guidelines issued by the VGCCC.

HMG/APT confirms that no fees are charged for tournament administration, or dealer services. Tournament entry fees are paid out in players winnings in full.

Liability & Participant Responsibility

Participants acknowledge that poker involves financial risk. APT and HMG are not liable for player losses, disputes between players, or force majeure events (e.g., venue closures).

All players must be 18+ and comply with VGCCC regulations. ID verification is required.

Independent Governance

APT operates as a national sporting poker tournament tour under standard sports-ticketing frameworks. HMG/APT does not drive any revenues from entry fees in tournaments conducted in Victoria.

Amendments & Disputes

APT reserves the right to cancel/modify events with refunds issued via the ticketing agency. All disputes are subject to Victorian law.

Why This Works:

Closes Liability Gaps: Explicitly separates poker operations from ticketing fees.

VGCCC-Aligned: Avoids implicating HMG in "fee collection" under gambling regulations.

Participant Accountability: Shifts financial/legal risk to players where appropriate.

Sponsor Protections:

Prevents claims of undue influence.
